Three tents and a camper van
Published: Thu, 09/28/17
It has been a while since my last post. Sorry about that, we are still settling in here and I find I can’t be very creative when my routine is disrupted too much.
We had a great weekend on the 16 and 17th when we hosted the Stav camp here for 8 people. It was a bit of a full house and garden, we had a camper van and three tents in the garden as well as people sleeping in the house. It was good to see that we have got space for accommodation and training and V and I saw it as a kind of house warming. I spoke to the neighbour afterwards and said that I hoped we had not disturbed her too much. She said not at all, we all seemed to be having a great time since there was so much laughter to be heard. I think that about sums it up.
Other than that we are still getting on top of organisation here and getting to know the area again (for me) and for the first time for V. Took a train into Hull last Saturday to visit the Ferrens art gallery and the Deep, the aquarium which has been built here since I last lived in the area. Sunday we visited Fort Paul which used to guard the Humber Estuary from invaders and is now a kind of museum. On Sunday they had an American car rally there. Plenty to delight 8 year old boys of all ages, don’t think V found it quite so fascinating though, I probably owe her another trip to an art gallery.
I am going to be teaching Stav here on a regular basis. I have created a programme of three courses coming up this Autumn. I have described these events as introductory over 3 hours. However, if you are a more experienced student of Stav you would be welcome to stay for the afternoon too and do some more advanced training. Details here http://www.iceandfire.org.uk/train.html
Also, this evening I will be interviewed about Stav on an internet radio programme, starts at 9pm BST on http://www.paramaniaradio.com/ Okay, it isn’t exactly BBC Radio 4 but it should be fun.
More soon, I have written the third part of my series on risk, action and accountability, will post that very soon.
regards
Graham
