No one left to blame

"Freedom is just another word for nothing left to lose."
goes the line from the Kris Kristofferson song Me and Bobby McGee.
In my more cynical moments I can relate to that sentiment. However
I think the real issue with freedom is more having no-one left to
blame. Once you are free from working for other people or debts or
any other obligation then your successes and failures are largely
down to you. I am not making a major philosophical point out of
this, if you have attained a high degree of personal freedom you
will know what I mean. If you think that getting free by becoming
self-employed or some other change in your life if going to make a
difference then be warned, you can't escape from yourself.
There really isn't any benefit in creating the circumstances of
freedom if you are continuing to blame other people, circumstances,
your wyrd or the universe in general every time something goes
wrong.
This Saturday you are free to come, or not come, to a Stav training
day. You are free to come because I have arranged it and I am
going to teach it. You are free not to come because I won't
force you to come and I wouldn't even if I could, I still
believe in freedom even if I am aware of the downside.
So, exercise your freedom one way or the other
