Making slow progress with the Stav Centre

Published: Fri, 03/07/14

Hi I haven't been posting all that much recently. Sorry about
that but we are making good progress with the Stav Centre and it is
taking up a lot of time and energy.
Main thing over the past week has been a lot of preparation for
decorating and building a new partition for a cloakroom area. I
have also been sorting out the electrics too. We have made some
good improvements at the front as well. I will post some more
pictures to the website later today.
In the mean time I would like to remind you that we have a course
in Salisbury tomorrow. It isn't too late to book and I will be
looking in detail at training with pole weapons, the staff and then
how the staff skills translate to the spear. These are the
important skills for training in your own time and you need to
learn how to do them properly if you are going the get the maximum
benefit out of your solo training.
I have also posted a list of training dates in Crewkerne until the
Summer. You can find the details at
http://www.iceandfire.org.uk/forthcoming.html you can also book
there for tomorrow too.
We probably never will completely finish the Stav centre, there
will always be something to do to improve the place and we are
already training there, I have held three classes there already
this week. So come along and see for yourself.
regards
Graham
