2014 Stav Camp
Published: Thu, 11/07/13
Almost exactly a year ago we held a special course in Somerset to
celebrate the 20 years since I met and began training with Ivar
Hafskjold. That means it is 21 years this month that I started
training in Stav. I am still grateful everyday that I had the
chance to learn Stav and make it part of my life. And I did have a
message from Ivar yesterday. Ivar was responding to my request
that he come and teach at the 2014 Stav Camp. The man from
Beverley, he say yes! So the 2014 Stav Camp will be on the August
Bank Holiday weekend at Buckland St Mary in Somerset. It is the
same venue we used for the anniversary course this time last year.
The Summer Camps are pretty much the only time Ivar teaches these
days so it is a rare and special event. If plans for the Stav
Centre go ahead then I will ask Ivar to stay a couple of extra days
and take a class or two and perhaps do an 'audience with'
session on evening. But for some serious training, you need to be
at the camp.
The basic information is at http://www.stavcamp.org and I will be
adding details as I get them sorted out. But the where, when, who,
how much, what and why should be clear enough.

Graham
PS You will need to be a member of Ice and Fire to attend. However
that will mean you get access to study material in the form of
texts written specially for teaching Stav, also online video
lessons and access to the members email group where you can ask
questions and engage in discussion. So even if the Stav Camp is
your first face to face encounter a Stav teacher face to face you
will be much better prepared than without it. There are also big
discounts on the cost of day and weekend courses held throughout
the year for members.
