Ears or feet?

Hi
Following on from yesterday's story. Okay, the idea that
someone would chisel grooves for a donkey's ears is a joke.
But it is surprising how often Venetia and I find ourselves having
a conversation which includes the question. "Donkey's
ears or donkey's feet?" It covers situations where the
problem may seem clear cut but it the obvious solution the most
efficient one? It eventually becomes a way of thinking which can
save a lot of time as well as blood sweat and tears. Whatever it
is you do, if you have to solve problems at all, then 'ears or
feet?' is always worth a moment's consideration.

It applies in martial arts too. Awareness of the web and efficient
manipulation of the lines is much more important than speed,
strength or aggression. It has to become intuitive but that
isn't as hard as you might think. Better to demonstrate than
explain and the next chance to do that is on the 19th of this month
in Salisbury and the 16th on November in Evesham
