I need your help please

Hi
I could use your help if you don't mind. I am going to Druid
camp this week as I have done every July for about the past ten
years. Each morning I do a Stav session for about an hour which has
been a good way of introducing people to Stav over the years. I
also do a talk and I have done these on a variety of subjects at
the different camps I have been to. This has included elements of
Norse mythology, bindrunes, Stav principles and on two occasions
money. Last year I talked about the 80/20 principle and while I
was at the camp I said that for this year I would talk about the
place of religion in the modern world.

Last year the writer Graham Harvey (no, not the Archers
scriptwriter, he is reader in Religious Studies for the open
university) gave a very well received talk entitled (as I recall)
'Paganism, a religion unlike Christianity' in his talk he
actually highlighted the ways that Paganism and Christianity are
different in their approach to cultivating a spiritual approach to
life. But the title of the talk created much amusement in its
implication that Paganism is a religion and Christianity is somehow
not. Anyway the talk was extremely well attended indicating the
appetite for this subject and I have volunteered myself to provide
some morsels to feed this demand.

The problem is that I can't seem to see where to start, I am
well qualified to talk on the subject of religion, there is no
shortage of ideas about what I could say but that is the problem.
So what I am asking from you is what issues around the subject of
religion and its place in the modern world would you like brought
up in a talk on the subject? I would be really interested to know
your thoughts and it will help me get started on putting my talk
together.

Writing this has already started to clarify my thinking but I still
want to hear from you if you have any ideas. I will use what comes
back and what comes out of the talk for posts on spiritual and
mental health and well being. I am also tackling the same subject
at the Mercian Gathering the weekend before Stav Camp. That will
be altogether more of a lions den to enter so I need a good trial
run at the Druid camp.

you wanted to come, it will be a great experience if you do.
