The best things in life are free? Well kind of.

Hi
It is about noon here in Somerset, UK.
I have just taken a break to have a walk around the garden and see
how the green house and vegetable patch is coming on. It has been
a slow start because of the relatively cold spring but most of the
seeds have germinated and are growing nicely now. I took the break
from writing articles and selecting illustrations for the next
edition of Web of Wyrd, the magazine for members of Ice and Fire.
This edition will be ready for distribution this time next week and
it is looking very promising. I mentioned Stewart's original
artwork of Freya, well that will be included together with an
overview of other images of Freya. If you do a google image search
for Freya an impressive variety of images come up. There is so
much available online, often for free but if you want real value
you still have to pay for it somehow. Not always with a lot of
money but with time, effort or commitment.

I have put quite a lot of time and effort into our garden this
spring and that should mean we are eating our own vegetables
straight out of the ground a bit later in the year. They always
taste better that way, I am not sure if it is because they are so
fresh or because you have grown them yourself, probably a bit of
both.

I am also working hard to develop the training and support for
learning Stav which Ice and Fire provides. So the next magazine
out very soon, another book, this time on the Rune Poems from David
Stone, which I will be launching very soon. And of course
opportunities, for those with the willingness to make the effort,
to get the best possible training in Stav, including from Ivar
himself at the Summer Camp.

It is surprising how much is just given to us, the sun, the rain,
the earth are effectively there for free. The seeds are really
very cheap. But if there is no effort to till the soil, plant the
seeds and then care for them there won't be any harvest.

It is the same with developing ourselves, everything we could
really need it out there and it isn't hard to find. But do we
have what it takes to get what we want and make use of it?
