It is a long way from North Carolina to Maryland (about 500 miles)

I had another appreciative message yesterday, this one from Stewart
who lives in North Carolina and he and Josh traveled all the way to
Annapolis in Maryland for the Stav training a couple of weeks ago.
Here is what he wrote:
"Hello Graham! Thank you once again for a truly inspirational
training weekend in Annapolis." He also sent me a rather nice
image of Freya which he drew too but more on that later. So not
only was he willing to travel a very long way for the course (and
it is a long way, I did the drive myself once a few years ago) but
he found the training inspiring and is going to help me with some
art work for a book I am working on.
At the moment I am doing some updating of websites, I have done
some work on http://www.iceandfire.org/ with some details of what I
am going to be up to in the next few months. The next course on
the 15th of June in Salisbury (details at
http://www.iceandfire.org.uk/train.html) will be the last one until
October the 19th. In the meantime I will be teaching at several
camps where I get the chance to share Stav with a variety of people
and at the beginning of September it is the Summer Camp. I have
been working on the timetable and it is going to be a really great
opportunity to get started with Stav if you are a newcomer or to
make progress if you have experience. And you get a chance to meet
Ivar and learn from him which is a rare event these days.
You may be reading this and thinking that a Stav camp sounds
interesting but I couldn't possibly cope with four days of
training and I can't see myself doing martial arts, isn't
that all about young fit men kicking each other in the head? Well,
no it isn't. So reasons why you should come to Stav camp (if
you seriously want to learn Stav of course) .
Firstly, Stav is a dynamic and practical training system. You can
sit around and talk about anything but if you really want to learn
something and develop in the process you have to actually do
something. We put an emphasis on actual physical training so that
you can learn to see the lines of the web and use them in a
practical way.
Secondly, you can only develop your own potential so there is no
point in comparing yourself with other people and what you can or
can't do in comparison to them. Stav is in no sense
competitive so you are only expected to start from where you are
and develop your own potential, but you will never know what that
potential is unless you actually test yourself.
Thirdly, it should be clear that I can teach in such a way that
anyone willing to make the effort can benefit. If you still
don't believe me check out the comments on
http://www.iceandfire.org.uk/train.html
Stav camp is filling up fast, six of the twelve places are booked
already and two of the remaining six are kind of promised so if you
really want to learn Stav then grab this opportunity. Updated
website, with new programme and leaflet at http://www.stavcamp.org
and please let me know if you have any problems accessing the site,
there are still some teething troubles from changing hosting
providers.
