Reading, or the real thing?

Hi
I should write more, more regular emails, more articles, more
website content, more books even. People like reading and I know I
do too. But then I get comments on Facebook like this one from Tom
following Wednesday evening's class in Crewkerne. "Epic
Stav Practice Tonight (the force be with eeee) :)" Tom is
referring specifically to an exercise I use to teach focusing
energy when doing the stances. Yes, I can write about it but
reading is really no substitute for being there, being shown how to
do something face to face and then doing it for yourself. Stav can
only really be learned through direct experience. This was why I
made the effort to learn as much as I could from Ivar when I had
the chance, why I am willing to teach classes and courses,
including flying to the USA in May and arranging the Summer Camp in
September which does provide a chance to meet Ivar and learn from
him.

One of my long term students likes to say to anyone who asks.
"What is the secret of becoming a master?" The answer
is. "Turn up and train!" So to anyone reading this who
wishes I (or someone else) would write more about Stav then all I
can say is, yes one day I, or we, will get around to it. But in
the meantime there are opportunities to actually train, in person,
for real, using your actual body and working with other real live
human beings. John has arranged two more dates for courses in
Salisbury, June and October and I am open to suggestions for May
and November. See the full list at

opportunity will be the Summer Camp in September, sign up for that
