I get around

Hi
The PDF programme you got yesterday has a mistake in it. It says
in the dates list that the 20th Anniversary course is on the 10th
of December and of course it is on the 10th of November, this
coming Saturday. Thanks to Hugh for spotting that and sorry for
any confusion. I have attached the corrected pdf.

Having cleared that up I do get around. As I wrote yesterday, last
weekend we were doing a presentation of Stav at a Heathen Thing in
London. This evening I have just got back from giving a talk
entitled "A Life in Martial Arts" at the Monday club, a
group that meets at the Methodist Church I attend. Feel free to
un-subscribe if this upsets you, someone did last night citing my
involvement in the London Thing so I am sure someone will have a
problem with my being involved in a church. Well tough. A few
months ago I was having a chat with a friend of mine after service
and she said the Monday Club was always looking for speakers and
they had never had anyone talk about martial arts before. It was
an interesting opportunity to recount highlights of nearly 40 year
involvement in MAs and have a chance to explain what I have learned
in that time. I concentrated on the six essential qualities and at
the end Venetia helped me do a brief demonstration of the five
principles. It was well received and, although I have traveled
thousands of miles to teach Stav that was the first time I have
talked about it to a church audience about anything related to the
subject. It seemed to be well received anyway and now the church
community know a little bit more about my life and interests, it
was nice to share with them. Spiritual or secular, Christian or
pagan, oriential or western. I really don't mind who or what
my audience is so long as they have a receptive and open mind and
something seems to be opening up at present in the variety of
opportunities I am getting to share Stav with people. I must be
doing something right.
